Jardine Crane Hire Ltd. is a long established and leading hirer of mobile cranes in the North West of England. Formed in 1965 by Andrew Jardine and family owned for much of its existence the company became part of the Crane Hire division of The Specialist Hire Group Ltd. in 2002.
The company operates around 50 truck mounted cranes, city and all terrain mobile cranes with lifting capacities from 8 to 200 tonnes from its depot in Wigan, providing lifting services in an area from the Borders accross to the North East and down to the Midlands. In addition, and complimentary to the crane hire business, Jardines offers heavy transport capability including rigid and articulated vehicles with lorry mounted cranes with capacities up to 53 tonne metres and low loaders with STGO Cat. 2.
With its commitment to quality Jardine Crane Hire Ltd was one of the first companies in crane hire to obtain ISO 9002 accreditation. Demanding customers such as the utilities sector and nuclear power industry has meant that Jardines have kept to the forefront of developments in safe lifting operations and all lifts are performed to BS7121. All operators hold Construction Plant Competence Scheme certification.
Jardines can provide cranes under both CPA Crane Hire and Contract Lifting Model Conditions, and training a wide range of crane related skills to NVQ levels including crane operators and slinger/signalers.
